I was lucky enough to be a part of the beautiful DAS project, which was made at the ProgressiveFX studio in Prague.
What I did were the animations. The goal was to create cutout paper style for looks (models and render) as well as for the animation. So we decided to animate the whole thing on 2’s (the pose remains the same for 2 consequent frames).
As I animated, we noticed that it’s still too smooth on some shots. To make it more jaggy, I started to block the motion on keyposes, making a few in-betweens only and that seemed enough. So in the end it was way less than on 2’s. It ranged anywhere between 2’s to 8’s. The result looked exactly as we wanted…
